Actual Technologies Delivers Database Drivers for Intel-based Macintosh Computers

Actual Technologies, LLC, a leader in easy to use database connectivity products for the Macintosh, today announced the immediate availability of a suite of ODBC drivers for the new Apple Intel-based Macintosh computers. The new

Actual ODBC Driver Pack 2.0, packaged using Apple's universal binary strategy, will run natively on both Intel and PowerPC-based Macs.

Using a single installer for both platforms, the drivers allow an ODBC-enabled application such as Microsoft Excel or FileMaker Pro to retrieve data from a database. Databases supported in the Actual ODBC Pack 2.0 include Microsoft SQL Server, Sybase, Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL and Microsoft Access.

The drivers in the Actual ODBC Pack are available for less than $30 per license, with no minimum licensing requirements. The upgrade to version 2.0 is provided at no charge to existing customers.
