Altiris Names New EMEA General Manager26 January 2006
Altiris, Inc. (Nasdaq: ATRS), a pioneer of IT lifecycle management solutions that reduce the total cost of owning IT resources, today announced that Ed Reilly has been named general manager for Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA). Reilly has more than 20 years of experience in the high technology industry having held executive and managerial positions at Peregrine Systems, Siebel Systems, Oracle, Altiris and others. Altiris has had significant growth in EMEA during the past six years and Reilly will be responsible to drive continued growth in this geography. He will oversee all operations including sales, marketing and customer services. Ed is very familiar with the systems management market having previously worked as vice president of sales for Peregrine Systems, and most recently as central area director of sales for Altiris where he helped grow Altiris business by more than 20 percent. Reilly's team has been the number one sales team at Altiris for the past two years. In the past he has managed multinational account teams including British, Dutch, French and Middle Eastern teams. Reilly began his career as a controller with Digital Equipment Company and managed the profit and loss for several large divisions at DEC including their software support division.
