AOpen Launches New Keyboard with Microphone, Earphone Jacks, USB Port25 March 2005
According to Tony Yang, spokesman of the company, “The microphone and earphone jacks are designed to facilitate users who make Internet phone calls or listens to music while works with a personal computer.”
Because the microphone and earphone jacks are located near the upper left side of the keyboard, it allows the users to use the keyboard in very comfortable postures.
An extra USB 2.0 port is built near the upper right side of the keyboard, the port allows the user to install an USB device such as a memory stick or USB mouse to the keyboard.
In addition to the value-added features mentioned above, the keyboard is built with 12 Internet and multimedia hot keys to speed up typing. These hot keys include Sleep, WWW, Search, E-mail, Favorites, Mute, Volume up/down, Stop, Play/Pause, Pre. Track, and Next Track.
The keyboard, KB-922, is designed to support all major languages in the world. The other specifications of the keyboard are: PS/2 connector; black or silver/black color; dimensions, 480 ( L ) x 205 ( W ) x 24 ( H ) mm; weight, 0.8 kg.
