With BeamYourScreen, clients can share their computer screen with invited participants within a safe, web-based interface, either through secure site log-in at BeamYourScreen.com or directly from their website domain. This superior communication tool lets businesses meet with clients or prospects online, discuss, share, and review documents, host presentations and provide technical support in a cost-effective and highly secure environment. Because participants only need a web browser, conference participants can use any operating system, anywhere in the world. Version 2.0 introduces even more privacy, administration and viewing features, making web demos and remote IT support more robust and flexible. These new features include:
Real-Time Participant List. Now, everyone can see a live, updated participant list with each conference. As people join a session, BeamYourScreen records their name and updates the participant list instantly. The participant list can be hidden by the presenter.
One-Click Presenter Switch. Hosts can now switch presenters with one click. When a presenter elects to switch to another participant’s screen, the requested individual is asked if he or she would like to become the new presenter. Acceptance is required before other participants see their screen. This feature makes online collaboration easy, allowing dynamic multi-host presentations.
Secure Remote Control. Presenters can now securely share their desktop and applications with participants, transferring keyboard and mouse control to other users. Now it’s possible to create and edit documents collaboratively on the fly, working together in real time – from any location. IT service providers can now offer their customers remote IT support by using the remote control feature. Customers do not need to install anything.
Screen Zoom. In previous versions, participant had to scroll to see the entire screen when the presenter had a large and the participant had a small screen resolution. The zoom feature automatically adjusts the size of the screen. Presenters are assured an ideal attendee viewing experience.
Pointer Control. While everyone was able to view the presenter’s cursor highlighted in red during each session, participants can now click on the screen so all participants, including the presenter, see a flashing pointer with the participant’s name for a few seconds. This allows participants to highlight items on the presenter’s screen using this pointer. Pointer control can be disabled by the presenter anytime.
Session Privacy. The presenter can now easily hide their desktop content, wallpaper, and task bar for added privacy.
Lock Session. In Version 2.0, presenters can lock a session after all participants join, blocking new people from entering. This means stronger administrative security, control and confidentiality.
Intelligent Session LoginTM Technology. BeamYourScreen provides Intelligent Session LoginTM technology that automatically detects the guest’s operating system and availability of Java and determines the best possible connection method for your guest.
