Broadbus Demonstrates Network-Based Time-Shifting of Live Television at CableLabs(R) Winter Conference

CableLabs(R) Winter Conference -- Broadbus Technologies, Inc., the leading provider of technology solutions for Television on Demand (TOD(R)), today demonstrated a network-based solution for pausing, fast-forwarding and rewinding live television using existing digital set top boxes. With Broadbus Time-Shifted TV, communications service providers can provide digital subscribers with greater control over their live television experience without the need for investment in additional customer premises equipment such as Personal Video Recorders (PVRs).

The current linear broadcast model does not offer the flexibility needed for viewers who want to watch content on their own terms. Communications service providers can use Time-Shifted TV to define flexible viewing windows for all broadcast programs-increasing subscriber satisfaction and greatly reducing the potential for customer churn.
