Buffalo Technology Expands Its North American Presence With Distribution Partnerships In Canada

The move allows Buffalo to expand upon its success in the United States and distribute its award-winning storage, multi-media and wireless networking solutions to Canadian resellers.

Buffalo will offer its award-winning line of storage, wireless networking and multi-media devices to the Canadian market. Its network attached storage (NAS) products include the LinkStation and the TeraStation. Both products allow users to store and share files such as music, DVD back-ups, presentations, family videos and photos, etc. They also allow users to easily distribute multimedia files around the office, home or even to the Internet with optional group or user level security. The DriveStation line of USB storage hard drives will also be available as well as the recently introduced USB 2.0 External Portable Hard Drive.



Buffalo's wireless products include its flagship wireless router - the AirStation(tm) G54 High Power Wireless Broadband Router and its complementary AirStation Turbo G High Power Wireless PC Card with AOSS, which are designed to eliminate dead spots and increase connection speeds. AirStation Turbo G High Power Wireless Cable/DSL Smart Router with AOSS and the AirStation 125 High Speed Mode(1) Wireless Desktop PCI Adapter with AOSS will also be available to the Canadian market.



Buffalo's multi-media products include the LinkTheater High Definition Wireless Media Player, which is the only wireless progressive scan DVD player that enables users to wirelessly access on their TV or HDTV just about any audio, video or digital photo file stored on their computer or storage device.



All of Buffalo wireless products include the company's patent-pending AirStation One-Touch Secure System (AOSS(tm)) for seamless installation and wireless security configuration with the push of a button. The products also feature advanced security protocols such as WPA-PSK with AES support, which gives the products the ability to support WPA2 - the latest and most powerful security standard for wireless networks. Additional security features include 128/64-bit WEP, Dynamic Packet Filtering and NAT, Intrusion Detector, and SPI Firewall.
