CableMatrix Policy Server Now Qualified for Euro-PacketCable Multimedia

CableMatrix Technologies, Inc., a leading vendor of PacketCable(TM) Multimedia (PCMM)-based platforms for enhanced IP applications, announced today that its ODSP(TM) Policy Server was qualified for Euro-PacketCable Multimedia by the Euro-CableLabs Certification Board based on testing performed by tComLabs during the recently concluded Certification Wave 19.

The ODSP Policy Server, which previously was PacketCable(TM) Multimedia (PCMM) qualified by CableLabs(R), the North American consortium of cable operators, during Certification Wave 34 in April, is now fully PCMM qualified worldwide.

"We are pleased that our focus on the PacketCable Multimedia specification has paid off," stated Larry Rubin, CableMatrix CEO. "The ODSP Policy Server passed every test of the stringent Euro-CableLabs qualification process.

"A global product platform has significant benefits for our partners," Rubin added. "Once integrated with ODSP, application providers can market their PCMM-enhanced services to cable operators throughout the world."

The ODSP Policy Server is the core component of CableMatrix's standards-based On Demand Service Platform. The ODSP gives broadband cable operators the power to provide dynamic, real-time Quality of Service and bandwidth management on a per-customer, per-application basis, making possible the successful delivery of premium IP services such as SIP voice, video streaming, and on-line gaming. The CableMatrix solution also features the XAM application management suite, designed to simplify the integration of PCMM-compliant applications.
