Enablence and Ignis ASA Enter Agreement for Cooperation on Optical Modems

Enablence Technologies Inc. ("Enablence" or the "Corporation") (TSX VENTURE: ENA), a developer of Fiber-to-the-Home (FTTH) components for optical modems has entered into a development agreement with Ignis Photonyx AS (Wholly owned subsidiary of Ignis ASA) a Norwegian technology company for the development of Optical Modems for Fiber-based Broadband Access.

"Ignis Photonyx AS is pleased to enter the development agreement with Enablence Technologies," stated Even Zimmer, the Chief Executive Officer of Ignis Photonyx AS. "An agreement with Enablence as the proprietary owners of the intellectual property for Dispersion Bridge technology is essential for the success of our optical modem project," added Mr. Zimmer.

"Enablence is pleased to expand its relationship with Ignis Photonyx AS via the execution of a development agreement and is pleased to participate in Ignis' Fiber-Based Broadband Access project," stated Arvind Chhatbar, the Chief Executive Officer of Enablence Technologies. "Working with the Ignis Photonyx fab team in Denmark and with our contract manufacturing partners, Enablence will produce the optical modems using optimized wafers fabricated at Ignis Photonyx,"explained Mr. Chhatbar.
