Focus Enhancements and Mapower to Develop Wireless Storage Devices19 January 2007
Focus Enhancements, Inc. (NASDAQ: FCSE), a worldwide leader in video production, PC-to-TV conversion and Ultra Wideband (UWB) wireless technology, today announced it has formed an alliance with Mapower of Taiwan to jointly develop wireless links for remote disk drive storage devices using technology based on Certified Wireless USB from the USB-IF. Certified Wireless USB uses the rapidly emerging, high performance Ultra Wideband (UWB) wireless technology.
Mapower is a leading manufacturer of computer peripherals specializing in external drive systems and enclosures for hard disks and optical drives. Focus Enhancements and Mapower will develop storage solutions which will be able to communicate with PCs wirelessly using UWB wireless technology.
