Fujitsu Names Keith Horn Senior Vice President of Marketing and Sales14 December 2004
Keith Horn has been named senior vice president of marketing and sales for Fujitsu Microelectronics America, Inc. (FMA), with full responsibility for all FMA products and services, including packaging and foundry services. Horn moves to the new post from his position as FMA's vice president of marketing. Ray Abrishami, who has served as senior director of SoC engineering, now also assumes responsibility for FMA's marketing organization and reports to Keith Horn. "The goal of Fujitsu's Electronic Devices Group is to be a world leader in Integrated Device Manufacturing (IDM) by leveraging our core competencies, including our process technology, design expertise, packaging and foundry services, and IP portfolio," said Ken Iida, president and CEO of Fujitsu Microelectronics America. "Under the IDM business model, we partner with our customers and support their LSI requirements by engaging with them at an early stage. All of FMA's businesses will now be under one organization, in order to provide optimal synergy and clear visibility for all our customers." Horn has been with Fujitsu for more than 12 years. He began his career in sales at Fujitsu Microelectronics Europe (FME) in Maidenhead, England, and then moved to the marketing group in FME's headquarters in Frankfurt, Germany. From 1996 until mid-1998 he was employed as European marketing manager for Atmel Corporation. In May 1998, he returned to Fujitsu Microelectronics in the U.S. as marketing director for memory products, and became director of marketing of the System Solutions Group in 1999. In July 2001, he was named vice president of marketing. Horn holds a bachelor of science degree in electrical engineering from the University of Liverpool, United Kingdom.
Abrishami is currently the senior director of engineering, responsible for System-on-Chip (SoC) at FMA, including development of SoC products and system solutions for markets such as voice over IP (VoIP), Broadband Wireless Access and biometric sensors. He also has been responsible for the IPWare(TM) SoC program. Prior to joining FMA, Abrishami served in senior engineering management positions at LSI Logic Corporation. Abrishami holds bachelor's and master's degrees, both in electrical engineering. A graduate of Stanford University's Engineering Management Program, he has been granted three U.S. patents in circuits and systems. To download photos:
