General Software Announces Embedded BIOS(R) 2000 Support for Mobile Intel(R) 945GM Express Chipset7 April 2006
General Software, Inc., theleading supplier of embedded x86 firmware solutions, today introduced asupport module for the Mobile Intel® 945GM Express chipset. This newsupport module enables new and existing users of Embedded BIOS® 2000 tobuild differentiated products around the new chipset which was developedfor high performance, low power applications such as interactive clientsand industrial automation equipment. Intel added the Mobile Intel® 945GMExpress chipset to their embedded roadmap in order to provide greaterflexibility for developers of embedded applications. The chipset supportsimproved graphics and increased I/O bandwidth over previous Intel chipsets,as well as remote asset management capabilities and improved storage speedand reliability.

The Mobile Intel 945GM Express Chipsetsupport module includes full support for the chipset's important featuresincluding: Intel Core Duo processors, all power management modes, PCIExpress, graphics, Intel High Definition Audio and DDR2 memory devices. Thechipset module is fully compatible with General Software's uniqueFirmbase® Technology and the Firmware Application Suite™ which enablesdevice management functions such as boot security, platform updating andhigh availability.
