Intel First With 65nm Nor Flash Memory Chips IntelCorporation is the first to sample NOR multi-level cellflash memory chips at 1-gigabit density using its advanced65-nanometer (nm) process technology. Intel s NOR Flashmemory chips are used in devices such as cell phones tomanage critical phone operations, handle PersonalInformation Management data and to store photos, music andvideos. Intel s handset OEM customers will benefit from acommon flash architecture that will simplify the migrationfrom 90nm to 65nm process technology. "With theseofferings, Intel continues to lead in providing theindustry s most advanced NOR flash memory for the mainstreamhandset market segment," said Brian Harrison, Intel vicepresident and general manager of the Flash Memory Group."Our 65nm process technology will improve flash performanceto enable the next generation of handsets that deliver newand enhanced capabilities for end-users."
