Intel Releases Game for Network Managers

Intel® has launched an interactive quiz game in which players challenge their knowledge of networking. Football-themed Intel Network Managers' Cup is expected to be popular with technical teams in offices all over the world, and Intel hopes the game's subject matter will stir up interest in their latest technology.

The Network Managers' Cup game is aimed at Network and IT Managers, who take on the role of football team manager, guiding their team through a series of 'fixtures' in which they answer questions on subjects like networking theory, networking configuration, hardware and general knowledge. The player who answers questions in the quickest time will become the Network Managers' Cup Champion of 2006.

The game was created to help promote Intel® I/O Acceleration Technology, a platform-wide solution that enables fast, reliable scalable networks by reducing data bottlenecks. Intel® I/O AT delivers data throughput up to two times faster than previous generation servers, as well as decreasing CPU utilization by up to 40% and providing cost-effective scalability on up to eight ports to facilitate server consolidation.
