Jive Software's Wildfire IM Server Runs Away With Jupitermedia's 2006 Product Excellence Award

Jupitermedia Corporation today awarded Jive Software's Wildfire IM Server with their annual Product Excellence Award for the Real-Time Communications Server category. "The readers of ServerWatch are savvy IT professionals, and the results of our 2006 Product Excellence Awards voting reinforce that," stated Dan Muse, executive editor of ServerWatch. "Voters weren't locked into one or two vendors, as the winners and runners-up include both well-known brands and products that aren't yet household names. The common denominator, though, is innovation," added Muse.

According to the article from Jupermedia, "Wildfire from Jive Software ran away with the real-time communication category, capturing more votes than Microsoft Live Communications Server 2005, IBM Lotus SameTime, and Antepo OPN XT combined." Runner-up was awarded to Microsoft's Live Communication Server 2005.
