Marshfield Man Marches to Patriots Final Home Game as Winner of the Building Champions

Marshfield resident Michael Root scored a touchdown. Root will be taking his brother Tim, also a Marshfield resident, to the final game of the New England Patriots" season thanks to a lucky drawing from the "Building Champions" contest held by Marshfield-based Taylor Lumber/ACE Hardware.

"I"m thrilled. This is the first time I"ve won anything and the first time I"ll be going to Gillette Stadium," noted Root. The South Shore Auto Parts employee added, "I"ve been cheering for the Pats since I was eight years old and I"m holding out for nothing less than another Super Bowl victory this year."

Rick Taylor, the second generation to own and manage the lumber yard and hardware store that offers old fashioned service and advice, added, "We are delighted for Michael and we think he personifies what the "Building Champions" program is all about. Similar to the Patriots team, Michael is a regular guy who shows up to work everyday without complaint or need for praise and simply puts in an honest, hard working day. We salute Michael Root and the countless unsung champions like him."
Michael and Tim Root will see the Patriots take on the San Francisco 49ers.

Root is among the more than 200 customers who entered the "Building Champions" contest. He happens to have shopped at Taylor Lumber/ACE Hardware for over 10 years. His purchases include lawn and garden, tools and fencing materials.
