In addition, 3n utilizes Oracle Data Guard to replicate data from its data center in California to a standby system located in the Rocky Mountains, thereby providing service continuity in the event of a complete data center outage.
3n initially selected Oracle's clustering technology to enable the company to optimize the availability and scalability of its mission-critical application. Increasingly, 3n will rely on Oracle Database 10g and Oracle Real Application Clusters to scale its system by incrementally adding low-cost, industry-standard servers to support its burgeoning business.
