today announced the new release of McAfee(R) ePolicy Orchestrator(R) (ePO(TM))
3.6, the industry leading system security management solution that delivers a
proactive, enterprise-wide defense against malicious threats and attacks. With
McAfee ePO 3.6, administrators enjoy unmatched, comprehensive management of
system security -- automating vital security activities, proactively
mitigating the risk of non-compliant systems and effectively monitoring and

management capabilities of NT/Active Directory to comply with
regulatory guidelines around minimum password lengths, expiring
passwords, unique passwords, etc.
-- Improved repository management, bandwidth control, performance and
troubleshooting, including selective repository scheduling, content and
server replication plus progress tracking for efficient use of network
resources.
-- Flexible policy management using "Named Policies." McAfee ePO 3.6
easily applies a common functional-based protection policy that can be
applied throughout an organizationally structured directory.
-- Embedded McAfee Research (AVERT) Threat Knowledge. McAfee ePO 3.6 now
integrates a live threat information stream that occurs automatically
as a recurring task, directly into the McAfee ePO console, for quick,
easy access from one central console.
-- Console auditing for administrator actions. Actions taken within the
McAfee ePO console can be tracked and audited through an audit log
file, providing accountability to meet an organization's regulatory
requirements.
