Dan "The Laptop Man" randomly rewarding exceptional people for exceptional service
SANDY, Utah - He loves you; he tells you he loves you; and now Dan "The Laptop Man" Young is giving away cash to those who spread that same PC Laptops "we love you" attitude through exceptional customer service in the community.
"Great people who offer great service deserve to be recognized and rewarded for the exceptional care they show their customers," said Dan "The Laptop Man" Young, president of PC Laptops. "Great service comes from the heart, and I am more than happy to give away cash to people who have personally shown the ‘we love you’ attitude to me as a customer."
PC Laptops Giving Away Cash "The Laptop Man" and his counterpart Mike Fuller, executive vice president of PC Laptops, are just two of the PC Laptops executives giving away portions of the $10,000 sum to individuals throughout the community when they are out doing what any Utah citizen does: eating at restaurants, shopping at the grocery store or the mall, visiting the auto mechanic or dry cleaners, or any other activities carried out daily throughout the Wasatch Front. When Young and Fuller experience the "we love you" attitude of exceptional customer service, they reward a portion of the $10,000 to that person. For example, a $20 restaurant bill coupled with exceptional customer service could warrant a $200, $300, or even $500 gratuity for the person who best exemplifies the "we love you" attitude of service.
The "We Love You" recipient is also awarded a certificate and a letter of appreciation is then mailed to their boss or business owner. The recipient will also be invited to the first-ever "We Love You" Awards event hosted by PC Laptops during the first half 2005. The event will be attended by all those that Young and Fuller have identified in the community as the best of the best in customer service.
"It’s so great to see someone’s jaw drop when they get a $200 or $300 tip for providing incredible service," Fuller said. "It’s the same type of ‘we love you’ service we try to give every one of our customers, and these people more than deserved what they received."
