SimpleTech Announces Expansion to Storage Product Line; Adds 400GB SimpleShare NAS23 August 2005
SimpleTech, Inc.(r) (Nasdaq:STEC), a designer, manufacturer and marketer of custom and open-standard memory and storage solutions based on Flash memory, DRAM and hard disk drive technologies, today announced an extension to its SimpleShare(tm) network attached storage (NAS) product line targeted at the small to medium sized business (SMB) and small office/home office (SOHO) professional markets. The new SimpleShare 400GB version allows users to expand total storage capacity beyond 1.4 terabytes (TBs) by connecting two additional USB external hard drives and offers Dantz Retrospect backup software enabling simple backup for all systems on the network and includes expanded support for Linux based systems. SimpleTech will showcase SimpleShare in the Digital Home Experience Zone at the Intel Developer Forum in San Francisco, Calif., August 23-25, 2005.
