Spanish IT media cite AOpen XC Cube PCs and Media Center Servers

PC Today, a widely circulated IT publication in Spain and other European nations, praised AOpen Inc.’s XC Cube MZ855-II PC for its designs and architecture that assure an optimal yield.

Reporting in its No. 121 issue, the biweekly magazine said the AOpen product produces very little noise and heat as well as saves energy. There is hardly audible noise at 60-centimeter of distance.

With elegant and attractive chassis, it also allows the compact PC to connect an ample variety of peripherals, according to PC Today.

XC Cube series of PCs are all in compact sizes with powerful functions, said an AOpen spokesman.

It is powered by an Intel Pentium 4 processor operating at 2.8 GHz plus dual channel DDR2 533/667 RAM expandable to 4 GB, PCI expansion slots, reader-recorder CD/DVD, network card, a hard disk of 250 GB, all these under Windows XP.

Besides its functionality as a computer, the AOpen the Media Center Server is a multimedia PC as well with entertainment functions, including remote control, S-Video output, 7.1-channel digital audio, tuner/ radio, etc.

It shows a wide VFD display ( vacuum fluorescent display ) and the possibility to record directly from any TV channel into a DVD.
