Unicity International, Inc. Chief Scientific Officer, Peter Verdegem, Ph.D. presented two studies at the American Heart Association s 6th Annual Conference on Aterosclerosis, Thrombosis and Vascular Biology in Washington, D.C.
The studies are on the efficacy of two Unicity products, Bios Life 2 and Cellular Essentials, both of which assist in maintaining and improving heart health.
Bios Life 2 is a cholesterol-reducing nutritional supplement without the side effects of prescription drugs, Cellular Essentials, which is a combination of who supplements, promotes cardiovascular health by nourishing cells with a special combination of vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, plat compounds, phytonutrients, and amino acids. The bios Life 2 study was performed by Steven H. Freed and David J. Verdegem, Ph.D., chief science officer at Unicity International. "With a normal pharmaceutical intervention you see a decrease in LDL but not an increase in HDL to these levels. It is usually only a one-sided effect. This opens up the way to effective alternative treatment options for patients with mildly elevated cholesterol."
