Taproot Systems Inc. Announces Latest Symbian OS Support for Leading WLAN (802.11) Chipsets for Mobile Devices19 July 2006
TapRoot Systems Inc., a leading provider of embedded software solutions and reference platforms for smartphones, today announced that its WLAN software solution is available for all 9.x releases of Symbian OS.
TapRoot's production ready software solution contains the key WLAN features necessary to support enterprise class applications for dual mode handsets.

The TapRoot WLAN solution is working and available with support for leading WLAN (802.11) chipset manufacturers including Philips, Texas Instruments and Marvell. Additionally, TapRoot's WLAN product is being demonstrated on several mobile phone reference platforms using a variety of bus interfaces (e.g. SDIO, SPI and custom).
