TECSYS announces new releases of EliteSeries WMS for IBM iSeries, building on already advanced functionality12 February 2006
TECSYS Inc. (TSX: TCS), a leading supply chain management software company, today announced the upcoming release of EliteSeries Warehouse Management System for iSeries 4.1, on the heels of its January 2006 release of EliteSeries WMS for iSeries 4.0. Together, the two new releases deliver a range of advanced functionality that will provide warehouse operations that run on the IBM platform greater flexibility and power. Major new functionality in release 4.0 of EliteSeries WMS for iSeries includes advanced kitting with multi-level bills of materials and work orders, enhanced pallet and load building, wave picking, as well as TMS courier integration for major providers such as UPS and FedEx. Release 4.1 of EliteSeries WMS for iSeries extends the solution's advanced functionality even further by offering a browser-based user interface, new queries on key reporting indicators using iTopia, TECSYS' tool for transforming data into knowledge, proof-of-delivery applications, Web-based order life cycle tracking and tracing, a flexible third-party billing component and versatile activity-based costing. "These new releases of our EliteSeries WMS for iSeries build on an already solid solution, extending advanced functionality that we've been working on for the past ten years," said Greg MacNeill, President of the Logistics Management Group at TECSYS. "Companies that operate on iSeries and that need the power of an advanced warehouse management system will be impressed with some of the features we've added. And of course, the solution is backed by our corps of supply chain management experts." The EliteSeries WMS for iSeries release 4.0 has been available since January 2006. It has already been implemented by Brault & Martineau in Montreal, Quebec, and Milton CAT in Milford, Massachusetts. EliteSeries WMS for iSeries Release 4.1 will be available in June 2006.
