TimeSys Gains Traction Among Developers Using Freescale Processors

TimeSys(R) Corporation, the leading provider of Linux Customization Solutions for the embedded device market, today announced that a number of leading organizations have selected TimeSys for embedded device projects using Linux and Freescale processors based on PowerPC(R) cores.

Among the TimeSys customers using Freescale processors in their embedded device designs are Boeing, Corvis, DRC, ITT, Lockheed Martin, Miltec, NASA, Pratt & Whitney, Sycamore Networks and UT Starcom.

The latest Freescale-developed optimizations for the Linux operating system are available through commercially maintained and supported solutions from TimeSys. At this week's Freescale Technology Forum, TimeSys introduced the Freescale Linux Component Repository, the first continuously updated, web-based commercial source for developers customizing the Linux operating system to the exact requirements of embedded devices based on Freescale processors.
