USU-Software to Clear New On Demand Product From IBM31 May 2006
In the future, USU AG will offer the Chargeback Manager to charge services of IBM's new Dynamic Infrastructure (IDI) system management software. With IDI, IBM offers needs-based on-demand services for the mySAP Business Suite. IBM is thus providing hardware resources for running SAP applications and permanently monitoring them. The use of Dynamic Infrastructure allows hardware administration costs to be reduced. Thanks to the integrated USU service charging, expenses for used disk space, memory and server capacities are assigned based on use. In the process, the USU application links the business information with technical information. Use data is collected, evaluated and then appropriately priced and charged in detail based on the available master data. In this way, clients gain cost transparency in terms of IT services used and can optimally steer required mySAP hardware resources.
Both companies see tremendous potential for the whole range in the corporate client environment as costs can be significantly reduced, in particular for vital company applications. At SAPPHIRE in Paris which begins today, the complete solution will be presented at the IBM stand (Hall 1, Stand 2.42).
