Vonage(R) and :niden Announce Retail Availability for Co-Branded 5.8GHz Cordless Broadband Phone System4 January 2006
Vonage Marketing, a subsidiary of Vonage Holdings Corp., a leading broadband phone company, and :niden America Corporation, a leading manufacturer of wireless consumer electronics, today announced the retail availability for the :niden :IP1869V, a 5.8GHz digital expandable cordless broadband phone system configured with Vonage's flat-rate, full-featured phone service. The phone is now available in Comp:SA and Fry's Electronics. Other retail locations are pending. The :niden :IP1869V incorporates Texas Instruments' (TI) TNETV1060 VoIP chipset, enabling consumers to benefit from high quality voice applications compatible with the Vonage service. It has a retail price of $189.99 and offers a $50 mail-in rebate to consumers after sixty days of service.

The :IP1869V phone base integrates routing features, eliminating the need to purchase a separate router to establish the broadband connection with a PC. The :IP1869V, configured with Vonage service, offers a corded phone and a speakerphone at the base station and includes one accessory handset. :tilizing :niden's cordless technology, the expandable :IP1869V can support up to 10 :niden 5.8GHz cordless handsets without the need for additional broadband connections, making it easy to deploy Vonage service throughout the home. The :IP1869V plugs directly into a customer's broadband connection or existing router, eliminating the need for a stand-alone adapter and telephone. The phone base works with Vonage's Click-2-Call(TM) features, which support Outlook's phonebook downloading.

All of these accessory handsets offer handset speakerphones and feature DirectLink(TM) 2-way radio communication mode, which is excellent for baby and/or room monitoring, making it the ideal phone system for busy families or the small office or home office (SOHO) worker. The ELX500 and the TCX440 feature full color LCD displays.
